Nomination Process

Faculty Awards and Recognition Specialist

The Faculty Awards and Recognition Specialist works closely with faculty members, associate deans of research, and research facilitators to identify potential award opportunities and develop nominations for national and international research awards and recognitions. The Faculty Awards and Recognition Specialist is also available to review and advise on other award nominations that may be prepared at the Departmental or College level.

Faculty Recognition Committee

The nominations pursued by the Faculty Awards and Recognition Specialist are also informed through consultations with the Faculty Recognition Committee. Nominations for awards where there is an institutional quota are decided in consultation with the Faculty Recognition Committee. This committee is comprised of a representative group of campus leaders and senior academics and is co-chaired by the Associate Vice-President Research and the Vice-Provost, Faculty Relations. The committee meets twice per year.

The Campus Community

The success of our efforts to recognize the achievements of faculty members requires the involvement of the campus community to nominate colleagues who have done exceptional work.
