Crop Improvement and Evaluation

Faculty and research scientists work on development, production and management of field and horticultural crops on the Canadian prairies and the management of non-arable lands. Research and graduate training relates to plant breeding (wheat, barley, oat, flax, pulse crops, canary seed, forage crops, horticultural crops), as well as related areas. These include genomics, molecular genetics, sustainable production systems, plant pathology, weed management and ecology, plant ecology, abiotic stress physiology and agronomy.
