Clinical Trial Support Unit

The Clinical Trial Support Unit (CTSU) was established to support clinical research in Saskatchewan. It was created and is supported by its members: the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Health Region and Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. The CTSU provides a variety of administrative, technical and support services to clinical investigators, including contract and study budget negotiation, research ethics submissions, health region operation approval applications, Clinical Trial Applications to Health Canada and research-related financial services. The CTSU’s highly qualified clinical research nurses and clinical research coordinators are available to help investigators carry out their studies. The CTSU’s Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at Saskatoon City Hospital is Saskatchewan’s first in-hospital clinical trial facility. The CRU allows investigators to conduct their research in highly controlled conditions, with physician supervision and emergency response on-site.
